Strong Foundations
A Monthly Virtual Gathering Focused on Women’s Bone Health and Wellbeing
Strong Foundations is a five-session, monthly virtual gathering where women come together to build understanding and confidence around bone health.
Learning that you have osteoporosis can carry a quiet emotional weight. For many women, it brings a sense of fragility — a feeling that something fundamental, the very structure that supports you, can no longer be trusted. Sometimes that realization comes after a broken bone, as it did for me. Other times, it arrives through a scan or a conversation that feels unexpected and unsettling.
What I came to understand is that osteoporosis is a common diagnosis for women after menopause — and yet many of us find ourselves navigating it with limited guidance and a sense of being on our own.
As a health coach, I didn’t set out to focus on bone health. But after breaking my wrist at 52 and learning I had osteoporosis, my attention — and intention — shifted. I wanted to understand what was happening in my body, and I quickly realized how little clear, supportive information many women receive during this transition. That experience led me to pursue additional training, including a 75-hour yoga for osteoporosis program, and to devote significant time and energy to learning and sharing what I was discovering.
Strong Foundations exists because of that intersection — personal experience, professional training, and a deep belief that women deserve thoughtful, grounded spaces to learn and reflect together. This is a place to come together, to ask questions, and to rebuild understanding and confidence around bone health — in community, not in isolation
Monthly Session Themes:

Why I teach this work
As a nurse, health coach, and yoga teacher, I’ve seen how strength, balance, and confidence shape a woman’s well-being — especially in midlife. But this work became deeply personal after I broke a bone at 52 and was diagnosed with osteoporosis. That experience changed how I moved and practiced yoga, and it inspired me to complete a 75-hour Yoga for Osteoporosis training to better understand safe, functional movement.
My goal now is to help women feel informed, supported, and empowered — not fearful or limited. This group offering brings together what I’ve learned professionally and personally to help you move with confidence, steadiness, and trust in your body.
