Move Safely, Build Strength, Support Your Bones

This osteoporosis-informed 6-week yoga series is designed for women navigating bone health concerns such as osteopenia or osteoporosis. The movements and postures are taught with bone health and safety in mind. Drawing from current research and specialized yoga training, this approach supports stronger bones, better balance, and improved posture, while helping you feel confident, supported, and safe in your practice.

Primary goals for this series:

By the end of this 6-week series, participants will be able to:

  • Practice yoga safely for bone health, using postures and modifications appropriate for osteoporosis and osteopenia.

  • Increase strength, balance, and mobility to support daily activities and reduce fall risk.

  • Enhance posture and alignment, promoting skeletal health and confidence in movement.

  • Develop body awareness and mindfulness, fostering a deeper connection to your body and wellbeing

  • Feel confident and supported in continuing a yoga practice that prioritizes bone health

This osteoporosis-informed yoga series is designed for women who want to support their bone health safely and effectively. It’s ideal if you:

  • Have been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis

  • Want to build strength, improve balance, and support posture

  • Are looking for a safe, supportive, and empowering yoga practice

  • Are new to yoga or want modifications tailored to bone health

  • Want to learn strategies to maintain bone health and prevent falls

Accessibility Note:
No prior yoga experience is required. We will move from the floor to standing during class, so participants must be able to do this independently. Chairs will be available for support and balance as needed.
