Osteoporosis-Informed Yoga Workshop
This 2-hour osteoporosis-informed yoga workshop is led by Anita Romero, NBC-HWC, RYT-200 and offered in partnership with Heart & Soul Yoga. Registration and event details are provided through their website.
This workshop is designed for women navigating bone health concerns such as osteopenia or osteoporosis. We’ll focus on building awareness, strength, and confidence in how we move — both on and off the mat. Yoga postures are taught with bone health and safety in mind, supporting strength, balance, posture, and confidence in everyday movement.
Yoga naturally includes many of the functional movements we use throughout the day — hinging, squatting, balancing, lunging, and reaching. In this workshop, we’ll practice these movements slowly and intentionally, helping you build strength in the legs and hips, improve balance, and move with greater steadiness and control.
Drawing from current research and specialized yoga training, this approach emphasizes mindful, accessible practices to help you feel supported, safe, and confident.
